This Week: Fresh Snow! and Adventure Skiing Slideshows
After enjoying the fresh snow on Monday…Please join us for a celebration of human-powered skiing adventure at one of our three upcoming slideshows: Monday 12/17 at Sugarbush, VT (in the Castlerock Pub in the Gatehouse Lodge), Thursday 12/30 at the Big Picture Theatre in Waitsfield, VT and Saturday Jan 8 at Mad River Glen. All shows starts at 7pm, include a big raffle of outdoor gear, and are family friendly. Please feel free to spread the word.

Off Piste in the Mad River Valley – Dec 2010
A good 5-7″+ inches of creamy powder snow blanketed Vermont’s General Stark Mountain (home to Mad River Glen ski area) on Wednesday night. With the holiday week ahead, and the official opening of MRG scheduled for today (12/24), this surprise snowfall could not have been better timed… Nor could it have been more fun to ski! It’s going to be a great week to ski in the northeast.

Solstice, Skiing and Sauna
We made the most of the shortest day of the year by enjoying fresh tracks in some higher elevation, off-piste terrain that’s been tempting us for days, and by enjoying a nice wood-fired sauna with a few friends. The warmth and light of the sauna soothed our souls and recharged our bodies. And now, with snow falling again today and each day growing brighter, we have much to look forward to in the weeks and months ahead…
