Most of us who love to ski can probably attribute learning to ski, our interest in the mountains or even just our desire to go have some fun… to our mothers. For this alone, we should all be doing something extra special for our moms this weekend. Throw in the beautiful fresh snow currently falling across the high country of the Northeast and the chance today (Thurs 5/5), Friday and Saturday? to enjoy what might just be some of the last fresh tracks of the season around here, and it’s clear that we all have a lot to be thankful for. Here’s to Mother Nature, our moms and another beautiful weekend ahead! (The images below were captured on Thursday, May 5th! in Vermont’s Green Mountains. Click on them to enlarge.)

Yup. The contrast b/w conditions in the valleys and those at higher elevations never ceases to amaze us. Thursday p.m. and Friday a.m. was a wonderful example of how strong this contrast can be.
